Define acceptance requirements before production, connect inspection evidence to the approved revision, and release shipments only against the quality scope written into the quotation.
Quality starts by identifying the controlled files, acceptance criteria, critical dimensions, material grade, finish, assembly interfaces, and documentation required for the quotation.
The selected supplier route must be matched to the process, equipment, measurement method, sampling level, certificate needs, and any sample or first-article approval.
Production evidence is scoped to the risk and written commercial requirement, from standard dimensional and visual checks to CMM, material reports, FAI, PPAP, or third-party inspection.
Exceptions are reviewed against the approved requirement before shipment. Packaging, labeling, surface protection, quantity, and the quoted delivery documents form the final release boundary.
Quality release gates
Standard checks, CMM reports, material certificates, first-article reports, PPAP, third-party inspection, and special packaging are not interchangeable. The applicable evidence must be written into the quotation and matched to the project risk.
Before quotation
Confirm the controlled revision, intended use, critical features, material, finish, cosmetic standard, inspection method, sampling level, certificates, and packaging requirements.
Output: written quality assumptions and separately priced optional evidence.
Before production
Connect the selected supplier route, measurement method, sample or first-article requirement, approved deviations, and release owner to the same project record.
Output: approved revision and a visible sample or production release decision.
Before shipment
Review the required dimensional, material, cosmetic, quantity, labeling, packaging, and shipment records before delivery authorization.
Output: quoted inspection and shipment evidence, with unresolved exceptions held.
Exception control
MakesHub does not imply that every supplier holds every certification or that every inspection service is automatically included. Supplier qualifications, measurement capability, documentation, and corrective actions require project-specific evidence.
Step 1
Identify affected parts and prevent an unreviewed shipment.
Step 2
Check the condition against the approved drawing, specification, sample, and quotation.
Step 3
Record use-as-is, deviation, rework, remake, sort, or rejection with the authorized owner.
Step 4
Attach the decision and resulting evidence to the project before release or replacement.
