Fluid-handling parts should be sourced from the operating envelope outward. The buyer must state what flows through or around the part, which surfaces seal, whether the component sees cycling or cleaning chemicals, and who owns system-level validation. A supplier cannot infer pressure suitability or chemical compatibility from a part name alone.
1. What fluid, temperature, pressure, and cleaning cycle does the part see?
2. Which surfaces create the primary and secondary seals?
3. Who defines and performs the final pressure or leak validation?
4. Is the starting form bar, tube, casting, forging, or an existing sample?
